I still play. Whenever I go on I always check to see if anyone else is on ([BF2S.com](http://BF2S.com)). Usually Onyx is on, but whenever I try to get on his War is Hell servers my comp can’t handle the 64 player / maps to well and ends up crashing, or laggin really bad. :tdown:

Just finally got a new video card so I can play this finally. Someone better still play this. So we can do some Hummer vs. Toyota races. Domestic vs. Import style. :tup:

Uhhh… trying to get this game patched is a fucking pain in the ass.
v1.4 Beta patch works fine, except for the fact only one server uses it.
v1.3 patch fails and corrupts the game.
v1.12 patch wants 3GB free on C: even thought the game is on D: even then it decided to fail and leave half the temp files in a directory Vista won’t allow access to, corrupting the game. And leaving me short 2GB on C: for no good reason.
So far I’ve had to reinstall it 4 times, and I’m about to make a final attempt to get it to v1.3. Otherwise I’ll just stuck to playing it unpatched on the 6 or so servers there are for it. Until v1.4 comes out. :tdown:
This really makes me appreciate steam at this point.

Yeah 1.3 has made the game run and lag like poop. 1.4 should be better when it’s released.

that is the saddest thing I have ever heard, but in your case it seems to be true
I used vista for a week then went back to XP pro too many stupid little problems I had to deal with, I can wait for the final release

Likewise I’ve never had an issue with steam. Just kinda feel spoiled by double-click, walk away the game is installed, and patched if needed. 🙂
Buuuuuuuuuut… back on topic:
Finally got it to patch after spending 3 hours with it. Had to:
-Re-install the game (Again \* 2)
-Run the 1.2 Full patch
-Run incremental 1.21 patch
-Run incremental 1.22 patch
-Run incremental 1.3 patch
Beta 1.4 works nicely but for some reason no one is playing it, and there is only one server.

My computer can so not handle more that 24 player servers. :lol:
I think I’ll wait until I have the new CPU before playing anything but an infantry server.
