These videos actually prove nothing. I can toss rocks into streams south of Buffalo and get the same results.

Hydrocarbons naturally seep out of the ground and can lie mixed in with sediment. Disturbing the bed releases them, they rise to the surface, and you’ll see the rainbow when they reflect light.

Or it could be simple runoff from the road next to where they’re standing. Or some dumbass disposed of his oil by yeeting it into the water / side of the road.

If JD Vance’s video was of him taking a sample, testing it, then showing the results as vinyl chloride, then this would mean something.

Yep. All the vinyl chloride is long gone. Its either flashed off as a gas or broken down. Its not creating oil slicks in the local rivers…
