# Computer help needed, cannot access my Desktop

Every time I boot up, I keep getting this “warning.” I cannot get to any files that were on my desktop, or the “My Documents” folder.

Also, the folder “Documents and Settings” is missing. I don’t even know where the hell it went.

Generally, I would just re-install Windows, but the problem is that I cannot lose the files that I had on the desktop, and re-installing the OS will get rid of these (as far as I know.)

Someone help, I’m assuming it’s a virus or something, so anyone have any tips on how to remove it, aside from going to Circuit City and buying anti-virus software that I should already own? ☹
