# Computer sound help

I lost my sound yesterday. Windows XP. I downloaded the latest virus update for McAfee, that’s about the only unusual thing. I hooked the speakers up to a CD player and they were okay. Checked the drivers and everything if functioning properly. Any ideas?

Is it integrated? Remove all the drivers, and if it is not integrated, remove it and reinstall, the card may have shifted out of place. If its integrated, disable it, reboot, then enable it again and see if it works.
