# Converting from VLSD to a welded Open diff??

Im getting an Open diff but no shafts or anything else. What else do i need? or is it straight forward install? Im not familiar with diff’s.

im pretty sure its just drop on in as long as if you own a s13 and its a s14 pumpkin you need to change the back cover to the s13 cover, or other way around if u have a s14. its just stright bolt in i belive 6 half shaft bolts on both sides, 4 bolts on the back of the diff and then two big ass ones that go up into your subframe, there is also some driveshaft stuff too. but its pretty much plug and play. i got s14 vlsd with a s13 diff cover in right now

You need non-vlsd axle stubs.

If you want, I may have a set to trade.
