What kind of symptoms will your vehicle have with a cracked flex plate?
Don’t have the problem, but I’m curious and I’m not finding really good answeres on the internet.

usually a cracked flexplate will rattle quite a bit when not under any load

mine made a taping noise similar to a lifter taping.

don’t say that…i have two vehicles that make a “taping” noise at idle thats not coming from the motor, my nissan would do it all the time until i pushed the clutch pedal down then it would stop for a bit after i let off, blazer does it too from time to time until i push the clutch down and release it

standard trans has a flywheel which is thicker,they dont often crack!i would say that aint ur problem!

that is prob the throwout bearing rattling

x2. If it goes away with the clutch in, it’s probably the TOB.

The throwout in my nissan was bent to hell when i last pulled the transmission, that would explain it then
