# crank pulley install help

i picked up my underdrve crank pulley yesterday and was hoping someone might be able to give me a hand installing it or point me in the right direction for installation.

Not sure about this… but you may need a pulley puller… if you dont already have one… but i could be wrong…

You don’t NEED a pulley puller to do the job, but if you care about doing things properly you should get one. I used one on my pulley install, and if I had to do it again I would still use it because it takes the worry out of the process.

Undo the bolt with an impact, or put the car in gear and crank away. The impact is much better though. You’ll have to remove the shroud from the rad. The bolt is 27mm if I remember correctly. Then pry off the pulley with both hands.

impact liek j-rod said…and a pulley puller is the best IMO…u can pick one up at part source for $40

Partsource rents pullers as well if you don’t want to buy one.
