I would have painted the new insert flat black but thats just me.
It looks like there is something missing from the front.
Or atleast the inside of the scoops on the insert would be black.

lol well your one of a small minority who likes the stock gm grille inserts
It is what it is, I got a good deal on it, the grille is like $200 new , the dude I bought it from bought it 2 months ago and had it painted pewter
the car got wrecked and I got it for $180 shipped to my door

the new insert looks very ricerish and it has a pretty bad color match. The lights look good Though

its the lighting, it matches in person, look how different the color of the car looks on the 1st pic vs the other 3
damn metallics
and everyone knows rice = fast
if they cant read it on my intake manifold my grille will do the talking

its actually pretty similar to what the car looks like with the insert removed all together

I don’t know…
A car with the black insert on an SS hood looks kind of weird with a dark grill. I like the color matched one better personally.

I wouldn’t recommend doing that it never ends up looking good.
