As far as 96.9 Bob FM goes, I wish that I was involved with that. I’ve been listening to several other Bob FMs via the internet for a while and IMO Pittsburghs Bob could use some changing. The announcer that you hear in the afternoon on our local Bob went to college with me and I have half a mind to call him and see if I can get a job doing consulting for them. ---

Jim you make some valid points and yes, I know a little about the radio business because my was was the on-air “talent” for a radio station in Connecticut when I met her. She has also had audio feeds for CNN over time, as well. I would have been willing to give DLR more of the benefit of the doubt if he had either completed a thought or made accurate statements. It takes no talent or experience in the radio business to make accurate statements. IMO, he’s just not a very bright guy. I guess I’ll stick with Allan Cox. ---

Announcers, no. Recorded liners, yes. As far as I can tell our local Bob only has two live people on air during the day-morning and afternoon drive. All the other stuff that you hear has been produced and prerecorded by an out of town firm and simply customized for the Pittsburgh market. This is very common in radio and TV. ---
