# Dead backlight on laptop lcd

what brand of notebook?

I’ve fixed a ton of them…

The two parts that can go are the inverter or the panel itself.

If the panel won’t light up at all, I would try an inverter before you buy a panel.

On most notebooks its pretty straightforward to replace panels and inverters.
