WANTED: does anybody have laptop / tool (or other) lithium ion battery packs that don’t hold a change or that you don’t need anymore. I’m looking for a bunch of these to steal good cells from for a project. I want to start playing with building up a 48 volt battery pack for use on a few cool projects like an electric bike as a winter project. If you have a bad battery pack some of the cells may still be good and other might be saved. ---

If you can’t find any used ones, I bought my mine on ebay for 8$ new. It only lasted 2 months but it’s an alternative to old shitty ones that don’t work at all. ---

yeah, I know the market pretty well. I’m mostly in this for the learning and project, if I can’t get enough cells I’ll just buy a fancy new pack for around $400-500 ---
