> I have a detroit true trac. my understanding is that a locker is in between a spool and a posi unit. i drove jt76’s spooled car last weekend, and i have to say it wasnt _that_ bad, and the locker should be smoother. if the price is right, go for it

Wow, jt76 runs a full spool on the street? I would think that would tear the axles right out after long enough…

I’m not sure what to do. I want to keep the car as street friendly as possible.

Ya I would say the price is right. Its a ford 9" rear w/ 20K miles, 35 spline axles, detroit locker, 4:11 gears (would probably change these), and Denny’s nitrous ready driveshaft - for $1,500 🆒
