wow this thread blew up. lol. sorry to hear about your lose, will keep an eye open… as far as people’s 2 cents… who gives a shit what method he does to put out fear. if i am out stealing something and a guy pulls a gun on me. i am doing whatever he is telling me to do. When I was 17 and lived at home it was just me and my mom. The dog woke me up one night, I could tell someone had to be outside, went out with my rifle. I caught a guy stealing the gas tanks off our boat, he was in his late 20’s. Held him at gunpoint, called the cops, we pressed charges, he went to jail. 3 months later he’s out on parole. A year later he’s picked up again, this time for stealing a car. I’ve kept track of him, he’s been in and out of jail since. The world would be a better place without him. ---

jays, nomatter what the background is on why you feel how u do, you’re fucking wrong so deal with it. you do not have the right to KILL SOMEONE because of an attempted theft. if someone is threatening YOUR LIFE, then by all means, shoot the gun. but you do not shoot a gun at someone because of a $ 200, $ 400, or $ 1,000 loss. that’s just stupid and really pretty ignorant. maybe the person is misguided, maybe they will repeat crimes, they might never change. but who the hell are you to kill someone, and hurt their family and friends in that way? what if you had a brother and he tried stealing some cd’s from me, so i just blew his head off with a shotgun. seem right? fucking idiot. what newman said, THATS WHAT THE LEGAL SYSTEM IS FOR. if you’re scared of theft, or whatever else, MOVE TO A GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD, LOCK UP YOUR SHIT, and LEARN SELF DEFENSE and TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. don’t hide behind a gun and become as trashy as the rest. ---

i think that most sane gun owners would not shoot for something as simple as theft. but it is an excellent deterrent, provided your own gun is not pointed at you. ---
