In terms of the motor kA24DE, is there anydifferences between the S13 and S14. Why are there kits only for 91-94 and then there are others for 95-98?

Thanks

What kind of kit?
If you’re talking turbo etc it’s because the piping etc would have to be different to account on the different arrangement of components in the engine bay.

Yup thats exactly what i am talking about … so its the pipping and component locations in the bay, other then that there is no differences in the actual motor is that fair to say?

Thanks

Externally? The S14 exhaust manifold is different…

Internally - Slightly more aggressive cam (cams?)… Probably more to it, but thats the biggest one.

Which had the more aggressive cam?

I heard somewhere that the Altima Ka24’s cams were a good swap for 240s but I could never confirm it anywhere.

The 91-93 240sx cams are the more aggressive ones. I believe they are 240 248 , while the stock s14 cams are 232 232.

yes you are correct. Except 92-93 is 248/248 only 91 apparently had 240/248.

Apparently the 248 248 is better, isn’t that the same as the Nissan Motorsports ones. Anyone done the swap into an s14, I have heard it is a pretty easy and inexpensive mod.

Bah, You’re all wrong…

1991 - 1994 Intake 240deg Exhaust 248
1995 - 1998 Intake 232deg Exhaust 232

The reason why 1995 - 1998 Motors have less aggressive cam’s is because
they eliminated the SCV’s (Swirl Control Valves) aka. Secondary Butterflies.

I am not wrong, I just didn’t include 1994.
