It’s not rocket science.
Cliff Notes:
Management who should have expertise are asking for similiar functionality that took over 3 years to develop and much more to be included in their new product (I am one of the lead engineers on the project)
They are surprised when I give them a big price tag (Remember, hourse = money).
Cliff Notes Anology
You bought a Honda Civic DX in 1995. You paid $15K. You are PISSED because it’s slow as balls, no AC, no power, and has ugly rainbow stripes
You go to the dealer this month (13 years later) and you want a Honda Civic SI with AC, power, beautiful silver paint, navigation, upgrade stereo, life time warranty, etc…
You are surprised/angry when they tell you it’s $30K.
