idk about you guys, but I think its bullshit that different drivers are used for each car… no two drivers are alike… I think that is the biggest variable, rather than the tires ---

No excuses are needed, it is faster. I will be interested to see if GM makes r-comps an option next year so they can shave some time off their lap time. Don’t forget, the Viper is running a splitter that’s not allowed on the street. Not too sure how much more downforce that produces. Guess they are afraid if they hit someone, they’ll cut their feet off. I hate when that happens. ---

Put both cars on race rubber, same driver, im willing to bet the vette will come out on top. ---

You have to PURPOSELY order the ACR with the hardcore package- it normally comes with all of those items, and the car tested DID NOT have that delete list. ---

No it didn’t according to the article "According to the unofficial information provided by Motortrend, with the exception of the Racetech seat with a six-point harness, the ACRs (Dodge brought two vehicles to the ‘Ring) were factory stock and fitted with the no-cost option Hard Core package that sheds another 40 pounds with the elimination of the audio system, trunk carpet, rear cabin sound insulation, tire inflator kit, hood insulator, and steel battery cover. Hire a skinny driver, far more hardcore, they will probably even wear girl jeans :cough:newman:cough: On the other hand, why is everyone saying “waaa, they ran on R-comps”. Why don’t the other competitors do the same if it is that simple to shave 30 seconds off your time? I love that people are comparing ring times to their local autocross… :lol: ---
