1. $98,110 (ACR) vs $103,330 (ZR1) I would be it will be quite a bit harder to find a ZR1 without markup.
2. Dan and mi$$terioman among others.
3. just because **your** insurance doesn’t cover it, doesn’t mean shit. someone who can afford the car, can afford to drive it.

In the end speculative arguing about seconds around a 14 mile course is nothing more than the pinnacle of bench racing, which has been stated about 400 times over in this thread. Your line of argument just makes you sound like a poor, jealous, biter.

1. Viper with a competition package was MSRP of $100,925 on the website
ZR1 MSRP (including destination charges) will be $103,300. Add to that a $1,700 Gas guzzler tax, $2,000 for chrome wheels and another $10,000 for the only Option package available that adds upgraded seats, side air bags, Bose audio, a nav system, Bluetooth, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel and leather-wrapped interior, and you’re looking at a grand total of $117,000.

Granted buying a ZR1 for sticker will be difficult the first year.

Why did this questions need to be asked? There is this invention called a search engine. I would suggest google or yahoo for starters if you haven’t tried them before.

1. I Know D is on the waiting list for a ZR1 and there are a couple guys on here with Vipers. So to answer the second part of your question: these companies have been battling since 60’s for whose is faster or has more HP this is just another competition. These cars are used as Halo cars to show technological advancements.

2. Go buy a bubble and laugh in it. Hopefully people buy these cars to drive them and not park them and look at them. Additionally, different insurance companies cover track events differently. If it is not a timed event some will just treat it as driving school. Obiviously the owner should check on this first.

Perfect solution, we should all just chip in and buy each of these cars, then all arguments will be ended! :smash2:

LOL, Happily married so hopefully I don’t get any more ladies!Bigger dick might be nice though, not that I would get anymore enjoyment out of it.🙂

Hell who knows if they will ever release the Z.As of a couple days ago,no regular customers have gotten theirs yet.If and when I do get mine,The first thing I will put on are different tires probably on a 2nd set of rear Z wheels. That along with a tune and a pulley and should be good for 700hp and all I’ll ever need or want.By then tho,Dan will have an ACR with 1,500 hp

Seriously though, there already is an ACR on order for the B-Lo.

No… Its not mine. I am waiting for the last year [if they cancel it] or the first year of the next gen [if they dont].

You have more excuses than the zr1 fanboys. The viper doesn’t win anything because it is an outdated pos compared to it’s competition. Sorry racing series have rules that all Other makes can win within but the gift from god viper can’t.

I want to see you find the history and post it on how a lap is supposed to be done, I dont know who on Nyspeed said the lap is supposed to be from a dead stop, but I havent seen any vids on the Ring without a rolling start
the GTR, ZR1, ACR all had flying starts

> And all of that isnt taking into account the intake temp the Vette required to make those numbers. Lets just say… it isnt any fucking where near track temps, and certainly a world away from heat soaked temps. The Viper doesnt have the heat soak problems the Vette does, so it balances out in a hurry around a track, especially a long one. On the same note, the SRT guys like “round numbers” as they put it… the Viper isnt really 600 horsepower, probably closer to 625. 08’s are averaging 540-560 at the wheels.

LMFAO!!!

Seriously…when was the last time GM released **ANY** spot-on hp numbers for **ANY** LSx powered car? Hell, even LT1 powered cars. You really think the 'Vette puts down what they say it does **and that they had to cool the intake charge to do that?** You are so fucking naive.

All f-bod LT1’s were rated at 275. So why do they ALL dyno around 245-255 **AT THE WHEELS**?
The LT4 GS 'Vette was rated at 330. So why do they ALL dyno around 295-310 **AT THE WHEELS**?
All f-bod LS1’s were rated between 285-305 (non-ra). Again, they all dyno around 290 **at the wheels.**

How is that possible?

They always put a little cushion (sometimes a lot, lol) into their numbers. Even the damn crate motors that they sell always dyno more than what they advertise them at.

You put that Viper up on such a pedestal, and you think it’s just the most incredible machine ever.

It holds the record, yes, we all know that. It is a very fast time, noone is doubting it. It is a track car built to whoop ass on the track, and get-by on the street. Track is the priority, street is secondary. The 'Vette isn’t built for that purpose. It is a seriously fast street car, that can dabble on the track, but won’t beat the shit out of you cruising around town.

Maybe once you could just swallow your Viper pride and acknowledge that other manufacturers build some great stuff too.

Just to put things in perspective, we are talking about 2 different cars lapping a 13 mile insanely difficult circuit within 5 seconds of one anothers lap time, that is a tiny difference

Do I really have to go dig up the GM release with all the specs regarding the ZR1 power output? Besides, time will tell the story anyway… if any of them actually get driven.

Read the top… yeah, thats fucking REALLY realistic for anything short of putting a refrigerator in the trunk to cool the IC coolant. 50\*F IC temps? What, are they running these cars in the snow now? Talk about a lame way to inflate your numbers.

LOL, I’ll take that approach right around the time the Corvette fanboys stop shitting up every Viper post known to man about either the ZO6 or the ZR1. Since that will never happen…:sword:
