Northtown subaru has a blue 04 sti for sale, about 25k miles. Been going back and forth with them, and put a deposit down friday. Anyone know where it came from? I’ve been searching but I’ve come up blank… ---

Wouldn’t that be a question you ask _before_ putting a deposit down if you were that interested in finding out the info? ---

2 reasons, 1. So noone else buys it while I decide. Prbably unlikely but you never know. 2. Also, I wasn’t going to put a deposit down, but they offered to drop the price another $100. I know it’s not alot on a 20k car, but I’ll let someone hold onto $500 of mine to save another $100. Yeah they probably would have dropped the $100 of without a deposit. But it’s refundable, so if something happens and it doesn’t work out I get my deposit back. If it was non-refundable do you think I would have just thrown $500 away lol. I used to try to beat dealer up really bad, I don’t any more. I just want a fair deal and northtown so far has been fair. ---

If they allow you to refund it, I dont see why they would hold on to the car if someone walked into there and said “I wanna buy this car today. Here is the money”. ---

It was a 2 year lease, and the buyout price wasn’t that great. The speed6 was nice but this car will actually have a longer warranty, better reliability (hopefully), etc. I want to buy something, not lease, but I can’t afford a new sti so that why I’m going this route. ---

LOL @ refundable deposit. Unless they wrote down on the buyer’s order that it is refundable and contingent on something…you’re fucked. I guarantee you, that somewhere on the buyer’s order…it says "ALL DEPOSITS ON APPROVED SALES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE ". Meaning the only way you can get your deposit back is you are un-financible. Especially @ Northtown. You may have to cause a scene to get it back. Believe me, dealerships go to court numerous times every month for stuff like this…and win. ---

They will sell it to the first “real” buyer, if they even have the slightest inclination that this kid is going to back out. They took his deposit to guarantee that he will come back atleast one more time (to get it back). Then if he tries to back out, they will take another jab at him. ---

It is really clean underneath, maybe is not from blo? But the car is clean. not a scratch on it and never had any work body wise from what i can tell. Still has the origional tires. ---
