Ok, so my friend/roommate left for Pittsburgh yesterday, and her dogs eye has been messed up since the day before. She thinks he scratched it. I’ve never really owned “my own” dog so I dont know what I can do. Its almost like hes got pinkeye…(think of yourself having pinkeye and how your eye swells shut and gets all nasty and crusty). I’ve been wiping it down with a warm washcloth, even though he hates it and looks so sad while I do it. I know deep down he wants to bite me, but being the angel he is, he doesnt. He doesnt seem to be in pain. Is there anything else I can do? If it doesnt clear up soon, Im going to take him to the vet, but in the meantime…anything?
Pics dont show much…

You can get drops at PetSmart and pet stores that is basically just an eyewash, no Rx needed. [opticlear](http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2754518&cp&kw=eye+wash&origkw=eye+wash&sr=1)

> Gentle, soothing eye wash removes dried mucus and secretions due to eye irritations as well as excess hair after grooming; also washes out dust and other allergens. Sterile solution has the same pH as natural tears. Safe and effective for use on dogs and cats.

I used to use this on our dog Bosworth when he would get crusty eyes.

If this doesn’t clear it up then I’d go see the vet.

Yeah some drops should take care of that, doesn’t look to be too bad.
