I def have respect for imports, hell i have respect for any car thats fast, i just think that Timmay made is seem that domestics are somewhat behind in technology, in the past ten years gm has produced the fastest production corvette, camaro, and trans am. The ls version engines are amazing, and they are not old technology, the ls1 was the platform for a 650 hp zr1 engine. 3800 engines are awesome as well, i saw a 3800 series camaro in the 8s. I will say that our daily driver domestic such as an aveo, or a neon or something like that really hasnt done anything but our sports cars are improving every year. :wtf, wow Just to correct you, look at civics running 10’s. What do they have, 400HP maybe less? ---

This thread was created to stir the pot, I certainly hope no one takes anything said here personally, its just a car forum and we are debating a subject that has no winner or victor - as long as we understand that we should be able to argue and perhaps find a better understand of one another :nod Facing sensitive subjects head on is one of my favorite things to do, you hear things that are worth listening to. When the subject is bland or comfortable that’s when people tend to spew garbage, strike a nerve though and everyone brings their best to the table. ---

Everyone has their own opinion and I totally respect that. This thread exists to stir the pot but some posts are ridiculous at best. The fact of the matter is, no one choice is correct in truth. Anything debated will be over opinion which is useless becuase an opinion can’t be “wrong” , philisophically speaking. If you wan’t to compare the cars, that is fine but please don’t pull numbers out of your head when you have no idea what your talking about, just to support your opinion. ie. “A 700HP import is as fast an a 500HP domestic” SAVE IT ---

looking at peak HP and ET/Trap times and somehow from that generating an answer to “which is better, domestic or import?” is FUCKING ridiculous ---
