> My problem is paying a bunch of money for a car and having it sit in my garage 5-6 months out of the year while I drive some POS that may or may not get me to my destination without having to work on it every couple of weeks.

It’s all in the beater and how you pick it. When I lived in Buff, I scooped some of the nicest beaters ever. Heat would make you sweat, never put $$ except for gas into them and drove like a champ and started better half of the time than my other car.

FYI-I never paid more than $750 for any of my beaters. Trucks included!!!
