The title is actually quite misleading. But what i really ment is that since i’m going pignose on my 91 240, and was wondering if i can cut the wires to my drl and hook them up to aftermarket fogs. so i can use them as drl and fogs.

Yes. But fogs usually have halogen bulbs, DRLs have 1156 turn signal type bulbs…enough juice?

Juice booster? Iunno, I’d just try hooking them up and then see what happens, might work.

That’s a good idea, but how do you use relays? Everyone uses them for everything, but I never got how they worked, anyone have a write-up or a how-to?

you’ll have 5 wires…use two of the smaller gauge wires…usually a white and black one…wire those up accordingly to the two wires for your DTRL’s…Then one of the other three wires goes to your battery and one to the foglight…ones not needed…of those three wires…i cant recall which ones you gota use…in most cases its a yellow black and red thick gauge wire…the other white and black ones are a lighter gauge(thinner)…read up on relays…their soo usefull i havnt touched one in a year. Im not 100% sure if this is the way…read up on relays.

one wire of the coil inside the realy goes to the DRL +, the other end of the coil goes ground
power in on relay goes to battery w/ thick wire, and output goes to fog light
