# drove a C6 the other day

Got to drive one the other day, Im gonna compare it to a C5 since ive driven plenty of those. C6 seems to have more torque then a C5 but the C6 is quieter.
everything on the C6 is electronic, push button start, door handles, ect… The interior is nice, but it looks cheaply built. Seats suck, they are nowhere near as comfortable as a C5 seat. Overall i think if i had the money or even was a vette fan, i would take a C5 over a c6. just my .02

there was a silver C6 at the track thursday night… I saw a bunch of 13.9 - 14.1 passes out of it

side note…sat in one…i love the feel of it…just wanna drive one or go for a ride in it…see the difference between that and a C5 Z06

yeah you know whats funny… I was talking to the owner of that silver C6… what a toolbox… He was hoping for 12’s in a stock auto. He said to me “My cousin has the same C5 as me and it goes high 12’s” I was like you have a C6 not a C5… he said “no, its a C5, its a 2005, not a 2006” Once he said that I knew there was no chance of the car even comming close to a 12 second pass

I think the seats are much much better IMO…as far as an old mans ride well :finger:
I got to ride in a new Zo6 over the weekend in BG. About 30 running around…all I can say is WOW that thing is very very quick with out a doubt the fastest and quickest american car built and I woul dsay top 5 in the world. Rumor has it that it will sell for under $70k

agreed. when it comes to performance and build quality. but i like to add in styling when choosing a car and once that is factored in i’ll take a c5 over a c6 anyday.

styling is opinion.
I like them both.
But I’ll be buying the C6 in a few years since, can’t buy a C5 new.

my plans are to get one after the current project. Should be 2007 unless I sell this one soon.
The new Z06 is just plain old bad ass. I rode in it but they would not let us drive. I fell in love.
As far as styling I love my C5 but I think the C6 is the best looking vette ever developed IMO
