apparently you can link any player in the league from any team’s website, using the players universal ID number.
example: #87 for the Sabres:

fake site or not he is as good as gone same with breiere and most likely vanek. All confidence in the sabres front office will be lost and we can all purchase tickets again.

Still no offers for Drury, Briere
Jun 23 - While much of the trade rumor talk at this weekend’s NHL draft centered around what other teams were interested in Chris Drury and Daniel Briere, the Sabres were mum on their talks with the star forwards.
But sources told The Buffalo News that the team has yet to make an offer to either of its co-captains, who are both set to become unrestricted free agents July 1.
The closer Buffalo gets to the opening of free agency (and beyond), the more difficult it’s going to be to keep Drury and/or Briere in town as most NHL teams will be making a bid for them.
“[The difficulty] certainly increases because you’re in competition with the whole marketplace,” GM Darcy Regier told the newspaper. “I don’t think it totally eliminates us from signing the player, but it certainly makes it more difficult. It changes the dynamic and opens everything up.”
