100%. After he tried to insert himself in like that at the beggining… i would have gone into a blind fit of rage and boxed him in as well. Just goes to show you that anything can happen and sometime it’s just not worth it. I’m getting old.

We obviously don’t have to point out the stupidity of the Camaro driver but as for the pick-up… the left lane is for passing if I’m not mistaken, not matching your speed with the semi next to you to box someone in. And the guy with the dashcam was following way too close and is lucky he didn’t wreck too. Don’t be surprised you got stung when you poke a bee’s nest. It’s not worth it trying to be the hero of the road, people are crazy and stupid.

Camaro’s handle like shit. Probably the true cause of the accident.
PS-pickup truck driver was being just as much a tool. Should’ve been in the right lane anyway.

Pass someone at probably close to 80MPH or more while in the grass… Some excellent decision making by the Camaro owner. He’s lucky he didn’t kill someone.

Ticketed for what? The last drivers course I took in NY we were told that all lanes are driving lanes and that choosing a lane is a matter of personal safety and creating a comfort zone around your car.

Yeah, the guy in the pickup probably should have sped up, moved over and just let him pass, but he was under no obligation, legally, to do so.

Then you’ve missed the numerous “Slower Traffic Keep Right” signs posted along the thruway. In the drivers handbook it explicitly states to always keep right except to pass on multiple lane highways, so wherever you took a drivers course at is grossly mistaken and maybe the source of so many ill informed drivers on the road.

From how I understand it, you do legally have to give way to someone if in the left lane… But only if you are driving under the max speed limit. So, if he was going the speed limit, he had no legal obligation to move over. I’m no lawyer, but that’s what I was taught in an advanced motorcycle course.
