# DWI Canadian Border Crossing Question!! HELP

how about having him find someones id who looks just like him?!?!! have him flash someone elses id at the border, its not like they are going to ask for a birth cert, social security card.

I’m just going to throw this out there, When you get a dwi inthe states you are not allowed over the boarder for 5 years after your court date.(not the date of the dwi)
IF you are caught once you get turned around and a warning. If you are caught again they can legally hold you in the holding center untill your 5 years is up.
Trust me, I was with someone that this happend to, VERY scary.
Granted we were going from upstate VT to quebec, I’m sure it’s the same

Wow… you rode the short bus didn’t you. This isn’t some bar on chippewa, it’s ANOTHER COUNTRY. Do have any idea the amount of shit he’d be in if he was caught trying to enter another country with a fake ID?

So true. People esp who come here for school don’t realize that crossing the border isn’t like crossing into Pennsylvania. They have no problem throwing your ass in jail or holding you in custody. Using another ID is a FELONY. You will be arrested. You will go to jail. Customs isnt a bouncer whos gonna take your id with a joking smile.
If you are not allowed in Canada, don’t fuck around with it. If you really want to try, go to the border alone and try or be prepared to come back on your own. No point spending a night or more in jail so you can go out in Canada one night.

ive gone over the border with people who have gotten dwis many times… as long as they just look at the id’s they should be fine.
does his license say its restricted? if it does, he’d be better off showing a passport i would think

well i certainly dont have to worry about it considering i have military id, so crossing the border is a breeze for me.

they dont just LOOK at the ids… your name goes in the computer
ALL past history comes up… including failed crossing attempts, suspicion of anything, ect

uhhh… ive gone over the border with 2 diffrent people on like 5 diffrent occasions who have had dwis and always got into the country without an issue. are you speaking from experence?
