# dying interior carpet?

well in one of my cars the interior carpet is tan, im blacking out everything else as well and i was just curious if its at all possible to dye or somehow paint the carpet in the car rather than dismantling my dash to take it out and put in new black carpet.

has anyone had any success at doing it?

i want it to look oem and i also dont wanna spend a fortune.

also pics would be a big help of before and after if anyone has any.

yea tons of people have done it browse on honda-tech, not sure exactly where you can buy it but they do sell it.Autozone maybe?

I used carpet dye before as well as a spray on carpet “dye”. Both SUCKED ASS in comparison to just buying new carpet…which was what I did days later.

you can just paint it as well  
you apply the paint then rub it in and apply it takes a while but it looks good and wont stain my buddies accord that he shows has it dont and it looks like a factory black carpet

i painted mine waited an hour then vacumed it with a brush attachment then painted and vacumed again and it came out pretty good.
