I’m not sure of the oil ratio/brand…I made it clear from the get-go that I have NO IDEA on that, lol.

You’re in the ballpark with the 30 percent.

:excited i’m very interested now. can you say how much the fuel consumption was affected?

After doing redearch it seems that most oils actually seperate out of e85… gonna have to keep looking into this.

Its fun to read the comments on E85 from 4 years ago in this thread. Yet I have been using it for 2 full years with no adverse affects.

I think we touched on it briefly before but has anyone tried any of the ethanol-specific additives/system cleaners? I was killing time in Walmart the other night, saw a few different ones from Lucas (we mentioned that one before), STP, and some other random one that I cant remember now. Gumout has one too I think.
They all claim mostly the same thing: prevent corrosion in fuel system, stabilizes fuel, keep engine parts clean. Lucas adds this as well: “protects your engine oil lubricants from the harmful effects of alcohol combustion”.

And on that subject, has anyone switched oils just because of your use of E85? I have seen some oils that claim to be more “ethanol-friendly” than others, one being royal purple, but I havent changed from what I was using before switching to E85.
