# Easing a sore throat V. home remedys

Oh, and I don’t think benzocaine has been mentioned yet. I’ve had strep more times than I can count, and for some of my worst cases the only thing that’s made it so I could swallow food was numbing sprays and drops before eating.

The first time I tried one I freaked because it felt like my throat was closing up. Turns out it was just numbing and I wasn’t used to the feeling.
