who here is using velocity stacks? or are they a total waste of money? theyre very inexpensive, and will give me something fun to do besides LED’s this winter, jw, thanks! edit: ive always hated the micron pipe my bike came with, anyone here unpack one of their mufflers? i like the way it looks with the bike, either im going to unpack it or do the shortie mod, thoughts? ---

They dont give you a power gain really, they more less move the power curve. The new yamaha R1 use electronic stacks… ---

they make it sound awesome… not too much of a gain but if youre lookin for a cheap project, do it. BUT you dont need more power… remember. FOCUS ON THE PRIZE. who are you scott? (\<3 he ACTUALLY bought a 636… like you should have) hes quite dreammmmmmy too ---

o well shoulda coulda woulda, ive grown to love this thing, took out this morning to willy farms up the street, no snow but 50mph winds, i still get calls about my craiglist ad, i just tell the people its already sold o almost forgot, ill put them in then, they seem fairly simple to do and BTW, in the last 4 months, my bike lost 500$ value on KBB, i waqs comparing it to a 954 ---

If you go with 4 short stacks it will improve your top end and 4 tall stacks will improve your bottom end. Could also do the Kleen mod, just ditch the pair valve and get some smog block off plates to reduce the oil in your intake. Don’t think it will improve your power much but it ditches unnecessary crap ---

Yeah I would imagine so, there are usually 2 tall on the outside and 2 small on the inside ---

im not spending another 300$ on a new kit, the bike flys as is the more ive been reading on these stacks, they make like 2hp after a tune but they do make awesome sounds while riding ---

stacks are good for 2-3 true hp when tuned with a custom map. ---
