I like that it runs 10’s out of a factory stock car… cars now a days (30+ years later) can’t even do that…

It was at Barrett Jackson this year

But it only hit $500,000 and was rumored to have been bought back by the seller. So he probably lost about $80,000 on the deal.
And the same seller has a 427 iron block COPO Camaro (Not as valuable as the aluminum block)

interesting you say that. my nieghbor also CLAIMED his was capable of an 11.2. he had slightly larger cams when the engine was freshened, and i can tell you that wasnt any 10 second car. my stock camaro would have taken it. i dont know where these old timers’ times are coming from, because that was at best a mid to low 13 second car

Yeah despite the big HP and displacement these older cars needed work to be 10 second rides.
My father had a 67 Chevelle with a built 454 along and a suspension set up for drag racing and I think that car just barely made it into the 10s.
