Nope

ECU 62 is for a 5spd S13 Red Top, ECU 63 is for an Automatic S13 Red Top.

ECU E5 is for a 5spd S13 Black Top.

ECU K5 is for the 5spd S14 Blacktop.

S14 and S15 engines have Variable Valve Timing.

S13’s don’t.

I have a more complete list somewhere, but I couldn’t find it with a quick look.

I have used #63 (auto) with a Redtop 5 speed without issues.
I see no reason why a #62 wouldn’t work with an early S13 Blacktop ( I think only changes were emission releted and minor).
It will not work with the 1997-8 S13 Type X blacktops.

How do you tell what your your motor is? Good question! On some I have seen a year written in marker pen or paint marker on the back of the block. Split the engine and trans, and look behind the adapter plate.

-Martin.
