# ECU light

Is the ecu light supposed to be on when key is all the way forward or when motor is running …?

ANYBODY ??? just what to no because its staying off when the car is running or when the key is all the way forward…anybody …just what to make sure car is acting up pls help

car and engine would help. Almost all nissan ecu’s pre 2000, have a red led inside, the led is suppose turn on during ignition on and cranking once the engine is started and running the light has to turn off. If the light stays on it means there is either and error with the ecu itself or engine sensors. or the ecu is in diagnostics mode. look at the sticker by the rotary nob on the ecu and put it back to run mode.

If the light persists take your car to someone that knows what they are doing.
