# EG Honda Hatch Owners!!!! im confused as help honda-tech is no help when it comes to anything but performance/motor. anyways i looked at my radio harness and i have rear speakers wires…so im looked inside the rear trim panel and nothing is there…is there supposed to be some speakers? or am i just deulsional and its somewhere right under my nose? ---

im assuming u looked where the rear speakers are supposed to be mounted? if not, id start there. i really dont know anything about Hondas, but i would say if there is nowhere for a speaker to mount in the rear anywhere, then it probably doesnt have rear speakers. it is quite possible that the harness they use is just a generic civic harness and has rear speaker wires even though there may not be any. again, i dont know much of anything about Hondas, but just a suggestion. EDIT: i just checked crutchfield, and they are calling for 5 1/4" speakers in the side pannels of the rear passenger compartment, so there should be something there. ---

the lower models didnt come with rear speakers. ---

Sound was coming out of the fronts but nothing in the back so I assumed that the speakers are blown or something you know? ---

its cheaper for car companies to just put the same wireing harness in every model rather than making special wire harness for different models. ---

Well the senerio was that when I got the car no radio was in there, so I put in my radio, and no sound came out of any speaker, so I proceded to take out the front and while doing that the speaker started to work…it scared the shit out of me because the volume was all the way up, both the front has a short, and then I proceded to look for the rear and that why I’m in this situation locating the rear. 🙂 ---

as intense98rt stated, the harnesses are the same, and generally the place where the speaker belongs is there just as well. so you should very easily be able to just run wires as kevin stated running them off the harness and routing them to the speak locations and installing some speakers back there.
