I haven’t driven a car in 3 years. had i gotten it inspected, it would’ve been exempt from emissions due to lack of miles. when i go to get it inspected will i have to have an emissions test done or would i still fall under exempt? ---

just guessing here. but if you havent drove over 5000 miles since it was last exempt I would think its still exempt reguardless of the years that went by ---

if it’s under 5000 miles from the last emissions test, it will be exempt. ---

I thought the sticker couldn’t be expired for that rule to apply ---

that’s what i’m trying to find out. it doesn’t really matter, but if i don’t have to have a sniffer test, that’s a plus. ---

On mine, which is exempt for mileage just about every year, they don’t do any sniffer, but they do the OBD scan for fault codes. I’m pretty sure they have to at least that in to the state. Could be wrong, though. This is with one specific inspection station I go to, though. I don’t know how they are all “supposed” to do it. ---

should be able to get it exempt…5000 or lower a year ---

if you are under 5k in one years time you are exempt from emissions testing if it was me inspecting the car i would exempt it AS LONG as you can prove to me you have kept it registered every year
