# Engine lift? / ideas

Ok well im working on stripping down my car and as the subject indicates i need to get my engine out. I have it completely disconnected from the car and i even removed the tranny.
I tried calling stevensons rentals but they told me all there engine lifts were broken… So I woundering what i should do. i was thinking about some sorta of pull system but i don’t think i would have much controll with that and i could easily damage the motor. I’m just looking for idea’s on what i should do to get it out.
obviously if anyone in the east(oshawa area) or toronto for that matter has a lift they would be willing to rent out for a day i’d deffinently do that.

use a chain fall hanging from an iron I-beam in your garage
one rated for more than 800lbs, 1500lbs would be safe…

depending on how far down you’re stripping the car, you could also unbolt the subframe and lift the frame/body.
