I just bought a 99 Gc8 RS with a blown 2.5 DOHC motor(bad head gasket) go figure.Any ways I have been looking into some ideas on the rebuild and am open to suggestion heres what I came up with so far
1. Have the heads redone and slap the motor back together even though one piston shows some pitting from the anti freeze run it till it blows again
2. Swap it out for a SOHC motor but will the ecu run a SOHC motor or am I doing more swapping
3. Get a 2.2 lower end and run 2.5 dohc heads
What do you think is a good plan of action guys.

Define decent frankenstein build ?
