You sound like you “want” to talk yourself out of it 😛

Brand new definately _can_ make sense sometimes… this absolutely appears to be one of those times.

Also, look for a new “used” '07…?  
~3 years ago we picked up my sister’s Mazda 6 “used” with 6200 miles on it - while it was still in its NEW model year. So she rec’d full warranty & incentive for ~$6k less then a lesser milage model.
