# Evo Vs Sti on slipping clutch

truly was a great race if you ask me for the bolt ons the evo had… you guys weren’t pulling that hard away from each other. once the evo gets hard pipes, and meth and if travis gets a stronger clutch i think it will be a good race. the evo 9 is such a capable platform

im easily giving away 15-20hp through the stock exhaust as well.

bpu… does that include cams cuz that thing seemed to have a snotty growl to it. its a quick car…im not going to lie… but for being on pump gas through the stock topmount through the stock exhaust with a slipping clutch… yeah…

how can you say that?
BPU + cammed evo = Built block + FPgreen sti.
Not equal at all. If the STi is running correctly then it should easily beat the evo.

he just means they ran evenly. I dont wanna offend anyone by saying this but i was in the car and know for a fact that we were pulling on him when we were both in gear, he just got a jump on us and we started in too low of a gear…however, he said his clutch was slipping.

If he put a clutch that can stand the power and an exhaust that isn’t stock STI exhaust it would be a completely different race, the evo would be left behind.

I honestly do not think his clutch was slipping when we were in power…you would’ve have been able to hear it. and the clutch wouldn’t be slipping and the car still be able to run like that. also, i dont know why he said we were going 150…it was more like 125 when we were passing him

1.) my speedo read ~150mph at the top of 5th.
2.) you shifted 3 times… i shifted once…(2-3,3-4,4-5) vs (4-5) you should pull me in a lower gear
3.) my clutch IS slipping and have several people that can attest to it
4.) you STILL saw my taillights… /discussion

55mph in 4th was about 4100rpms for me.

I bet he fucked up a shift instead of starting in 2nd. I’m assuming his is a 5spd just like mine… 2nd takes you to just over 60 ( I think it’s 62 at redline, but really not sure ). So that was a really stupid move if he really did start in 2nd at a 55mph :haha
if he is a 6 spd then I’d assume that cause the geers are shorter that his 2nd doesn’t even let him go that fast… total guess on that one though.

no if’s, and or buts… just gotta wait till travis gets a clutch and the evo gets hardpipes, and w/m then… it will be an excellent race
