# Exhaust Compatibility on 96-00 Civics

Does a cat-back made for a 96-00 Civic hatch fit on a 96-00 Civic coupe?

I assume it’s not a direct fit but thought I’d ask…

If not, what has to be done to make it fit? Is it fairly simple to make it fit up?

Thanks Lance… You think shortening the midpipe would do the trick? Or would it require more work than that?

Can any muffler shop pretty much cut and then re-weld a decent exhaust (I’m looking at an Apex’i one) to fit?

i have a magnaflow muffler with a hi-flow cat on it that i bought a long time ago for my 97 civic coupe, i’ll sell it cheap if your interested

The mid pipes are the same. You have to shorten the over the axel section.

I know on my EG we had to shorten the Mid and over the axle.
