# exhaust question

exhaust question:
today i was at my local shop and there is a used cat back exhaust for 400$ installed , the company name is invidia 3" cat back single to a y pipe and two cans at the end …this is going on a 03 g35 coupe
just want ur input on this company , should i go for the deal or not ,wut u guys think .?

for that price, on a used exhaust, that is by an unknown brand (haven’t heard about them), i wouldint suggest buying. Just stick it out. You should really go with exhausts that have been tested, and tuned, and that have a number of buyers that have good input about the item, and the company in general. It may not seem cool to ride the bandwagon, following what others have done. But if it gets you good results, and a good reliable product, then there is no shame. Then again, its up to you. Its your cash, and ultimatley your decission, this is just my opinion.

Man, the stock exhausts on the G35’s for the sport package sound mean (love that VQ rumble). My dad still rocks the stockers, and they’re a great balance to be honest. As Hacknik stated, that seems really cheap.

Invidia is a decently respected name for exhausts from what I’ve heard. $400 seems very cheap for a G exhaust, I think new their in the $1000+ range. For $400 installed, do it.

There’s the website. I just had a quick look at 03 g35 catbacks and there all starting at round $850 some go up to $1100.
I’d try and save up cash then buy new at least that way you get a warranty etc.
