# eXhaust question

I have a 1997 Honda civic daily driver junk box to get to and from work the exhaust crack right after the cat converter. Any one know of any place in the ny metro area for a cheap price to get it repaired? [ATTACH=CONFIG]20823[/ATTACH]

In all seriousness, your picture hurts my head and neck. You might benefit from calling local garages and repair shops. It doesn’t look too bad, just looks like the welds broke free.

if its a hooptie
1. get a saw-zall, and cut off those 2 flanges
2. get a piece of flex pipe from pep-boys (something like this [http://www.walkerheavyduty.com/products/flex\_tubing.asp](http://www.walkerheavyduty.com/products/flex_tubing.asp) )
3. 2 of these - [http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-exhaust-clamps-stainless-steel-1-39-1292.html](http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-exhaust-clamps-stainless-steel-1-39-1292.html)
boom. youre good for another year
EDIT: make sure you get the commercial grade flex pipe, and the corvette specific clamps.

Pretty common for those flanges to fail. Shouldn’t be too bad of a repair if you take it to a shop. If you want to save even a few more bucks then buy the flange yourself ahead of time. Otherwise do as stated above if you don’t mind doing it yourself.
