# External gate and heatshield ideas for my turbo dodge. lots of pics

ok so i’ve had my external gate on for acouple months now and it works great. as you can see in the pics dodge didn’t think it was necessary to put a heat shield on the exhaust mani and turbo, and its right under the freakin intake mani too, hey lets get a red hot turbo and mani and put it right below the intake mani so we can heat back up all that air that was just intercooled duh. so anyway i cut up my integras exhaust heat shield i had laying around and was doing some mock up with 2 different pieces. anybody have any advice on what ive done so far?

while its off, you should heat wrap it, too.

awe man that gate uncorcked the shit outta it. not all the exhaust has to go from 1-2-3 on one side into the small ass .48 turbine housing. its only a 35mm deltagate anyways good up to 400hp. i wish i had some heat wrap.

that stuff isnt any good in that link as its only good to 1000 degrees F. i see up to 1600 sometimes, avg 1400

I just linked the cheapest, there are better ones on there.
my point was that you don’t have to pay $42 at advanced to get some.
