**F-BODY BEACH BASH 2010!**
This will take place in Myrtle Beach SC. The date is confirmed! July 16-18
“We have hooked up with Koss Motorsports (KMS)which will run the show for us. KMS runs shows year round and as Kyle said even has a new TV Show that starts Jan 14. If all goes well …we should get TV coverage for F-body Beach week.”
“Steve Koss was very receptive to helping us (he owns a Camaro)…he wants to make this show rival Mustang week in every aspect.”

“La Quinta (not ocean front, but still nice) will do us a group rate for _$75 a night._ you will NOT beat that price for this time of the year! I reserved 50 rooms, and we can increase or decrease that number in the future. They have a covered area for 15-20 cars to park under."
Parking for trailers is going to be a challenge but we’re working on getting a separate lot near the hotel. We’ll probably hire security if we go this route.The hotel parking is very limited.
We’re still waiting on the code if you want to book on line so you’ll have to call for now. Also, this hotel is pet friendly.
_The rate is $75 per night (normally $159) I’m sure they’ll give you this rate for the whole week…just ask._

**Track Event 3pm-8pm Friday July 16th @ Myrtle Beach Speedway**

the participation in the track day is more than likely going to be limited to the following cars…
-cars from Late Model Motorsports (our car club putting the event on)
-cars from the sponsoring shops
-F-Bodies
-Cost to participate in any or all events: _$20. Cost to spectate: $5._
-you can have a (one) passenger…must have a helmet and pay an additional $5
-Everyone MUST sign a release form the day of the event.
-Participants MUST wear helmets…no roll cage, fire suits, any of that required. Just drive up and have fun.
-EMS on site
Here’s the list of activities…
- **Auto cross**
- **Track runs** (Run your car as hard as you want around the track, 2 cars at a time. Cones will be set up to keep cars off banks and keep speeds safe).
- **“Street Drag”** …Starting at the end of turn 4, you will be allowed to drag race to the start/finish line. Just like it’s done on the street!
- **0-60-0 Competition**
- **possibly an exhaust competition**
- **Burnout Contest** _this will be the last event, and no line locks, power-braking, etc will be allowed. Car must stay rolling, Bill doesn’t want the pavement dug up_
This is a GREAT opportunity to legally run your car in a variety of different things. You can’t find this good of a deal ($20 to do all this…come on!) so we hope this generates a big turnout! This is all I have for now, as always we will post info as we receive it. Next up will be info on the vendors who will be helping us for the weekend. These will definitely be shops you have heard of, and a chance for you to see their stuff!
Myrtle Beach Speedway will handle the racing activities…they do Mustang week so they should be able to handle our group…no problem. We’ll probably start around 2:00 to get all the paperwork signed etc. Racing activity to start at 3pm.

“There will be 27 different F-body classes. Each generation and level of customization (stock, mild, wild) will have its own class with 1st and 2nd place. Also, there will be non-FBody classes and a show separate for the non F-Body cars. In addition…there will be 10-15 specialty awards that we aren’t yet 100% sure of (best paint, best engine bay, best wheels, best stance, best exhaust, etc)”
“Over $1000 will be spent on awards. Expect show entry to be in the $20-$25 range depending on what type of car you bring.”

**Meet time and place**
**Johawk** As of now I’m going to say we will meet at the New Baltimore Rest Area at approximately 7am on Thursday 7/15. I am aware that people may be towing vehicle on trailers and this spot will allow easy egress for them. There is also food and fuel for last minute top off before we depart. This is a 13 hour drive and I do not intend to grossly disobey posted speed limits. Our goal is to arrive in SC and check in to our rooms and possibly meet for a late but well earned dinner.
Stops will be made on an as needed basis. All phone numbers will be exchanged prior to departure for communication purposes. I bought a new GPS and Radar Detector for this trip as well. I may be able to secure radio communication devices also. **Making arrangements to stay in Myrtle Beach is your personal responsibility**

They seem to be friendly to all the car people. The second set of dates is also a Mustang meet so this may be of interest to that crowd as well. The fact that its in Myrtle Beach makes it awesome!

^happens everywhere. myself and killerblackbird organized a second clubrsx meet and 15+ people signed up i think it was more and literally 2 people showed up after we bought all the food. i had BBQ’s for 2 months straight.

me, jennie and her sister/bf already booked a house right in north myrtle beach during F-body week a block off the beach…if you and the girl want a place to stay for a few days, (were staying for a week) you guys can pitch in and stay with us if you want. Its a 3 bedroom house with private garage parking under the house…right across the street from where the meet is every year in barefoot landing.
basically, we only have 2 couples so far, staying in a 3 couple/bedroom house…one spot is open…invite is there for you and the women sense we all get along great.
