# fast car = more parking tickets?!

this is more of a rant and wondering if others can relate…
since i got my 350z in the summer, i have accumulated $400 in parking fines. (not a single speeding ticket. lol)
maybe it’s just the fact that i’ve been trying to avoid parking close to other cars to avoid dents so i park illegally. i’m not saying i **shouldn’t** get ticketed, just that i have done this before with my prelude and never once got a ticket. is it just the fact that cops are after flashier cars?
fast car = more parking tickets. go figure.

they just probably saw you getting out of the car and wanna see you in court and pretend they’ll let the fine slide if you give them your phone number. hehehe. just in case it isnt obvious im just bored here at work right now.

Cops don’t give parking tickets in parking lots.
Parking officials have rods up their asses 24/7 and are only doing it because they’re pissed that they’re not cops… “yet” (some may never make it. It is not a prerequasite but an easy way in)
If you search through this board, I’ve left a paragraph or two on how I decide where to park legally. When you do it consistently you’re trained and it’s not really time consuming. You won’t usually be parking at the door, but at least your car will be safe. Sounds like the tickets come from you quickly parking in a stopping zone or handicapped spot because you want to run into a store quickly.

400 seems kinda high because most i heard was $50 per ticket. I got parking tickets too and i drive an altima lol so i dont think it really matters what car u drive if u are parked sidewayzzz or leave your car parked somewhere for half a day and limit is 1 hour dont be suprised and handicaped zone isnt that a big ticket like a few thousand?

Never parked in a handicapped spot and don’t park in stopping zones. One time I parked in a park’s parking lot while visiting the hospital across the street. Trying to avoid paying the parking fee since I was there almost daily for several weeks and that adds up. Another time I parked in a regular spot in front of a convenience store, and even went in, bought something and then went to the gym across the street for only a few minutes to pick something up. Obviously SOMEBODY was watching pretty closely both times. Both of those tickets were $105 each.
The rest added up from similar incidents - once at the beach and another time downtown near King St. Before the highest parking ticket I ever got was $40. Suddenly they’re on average $100 each! WTF.
