technically they are lighter…or the should be at least, depending on how close everyone comes to the minimum weight.

I don’t have the pro rule book for the NDRA but 1.5L difference is a lot to make up for 300lbs

•WEIGHTS / TURBO LIMITS: All weight penalties will be added up to the point of the chassis weight limitation. All 6 Cylinder cars built after 01-01-05 must meet SFI 25.2 chassis specifications if they plan on running Twin turbos in competition. 4 Cylinder class min. is 1800lbs, .80 lbs per CC of displacement for all 4 Cylinder cars or 2.599L and smaller engines, 2.600L and larger class minimum of 2800lbs. Example: 2.0L = 1800 lbs. (1800lb. min.) 2.5L = 2000 lbs. 2.6L = 2800 lbs. (1 power adder only) 3.0L = 3000 lbs. (2 power adders /gasoline only) Twin turbo add 200lbs penalty. Twin Turbo counts as only one power adder. Air-cooled: 1800 lbs. 2 Rotor: 1900 lbs. with up to two-power adders. 3 Rotor: 2400 lbs. with up to two power adders. Add 200 lbs. For ecotec, and cosworth engines. Add 200 lbs for missing functional shock towers, or missing front frame rails. 4 Cylinder Turbo maximum size is 81 mm. 6 Cylinder single Turbo maximum size 74 mm. 6 Cylinder dual Turbo maximum size 58 mm each.
4 Cylinder Maximum Turbo size = 81mm, single turbo only. Max size is defined by inducer wheel size measurements. Maximum compressor inducer diameter is 81.81mm. This is measured at the point where the leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the housing. Inducer diameter can be no larger than this. No stepped inducer wheels allowed. The contour from inducer to exducer must be continuous with no steps. 6 Cylinder Maximum Turbo size = 74mm, single turbo only. Max size is defined by inducer wheel size measurements. Maximum compressor inducer diameter is 75.85mm. This is measured at the point where the leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the housing. Inducer diameter can be no larger than this. No stepped inducer wheels allowed. The contour from inducer to exducer must be continuous with no steps. Exhaust housing flange cannot measure more than 69.85mm x 82.55mm on the bolt pattern. 6 Cylinder Twin Turbo Maximum Turbo size = 58mm turbo. Max size is defined by inducer wheel size measurements. Maximum compressor inducer diameter is 59.78mm. This is measured at the point where the leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the housing. Inducer diameter can be no larger than this. No stepped inducer wheels allowed. The contour from inducer to exducer must be continuous with no steps. Exhaust housing flange cannot measure more than 69.85mm x 82.55mm on the bolt pattern.

hey, you can try anyway u want to argue it out… regardless, the car will be physically lighter and have better weight distribution. …just makes sence to me.
I bet we’ll c more 4cyl rwd cars comin up.
