From this pic the driver’s compartment looks in good shape, the door doesn’t show much damage, the A pillar looks fine on both sides (sans being cut). It’s hard to see the front end of the car. ![http://jalopnik.com/assets/resources/2008/05/Gulf_Volvo_Crash.jpg](http://jalopnik.com/assets/resources/2008/05/Gulf_Volvo_Crash.jpg) It’s all speculation at this point… But IIRC the LeMons rules for safety is pretty close to SCCA and NASA, but that can only go so far going head on into a wall. ---

yah that link said he didn’t brake check or anything, just full speed into the wall as if he were passed out ---
