omfg we have a guy here that is the KING of these phrases… in the weekly directors meetings i used to try and keep track of the amount of cliche lines he used in his one page report. it was usually in the range of 10-15. ---

Got a shiver down my spine at “Value add”. The douchebag who ran the last place I worked at into the ground said that all the time. He was the king at always shifting the blame for his latest failure to someone who had just quit/been fired/been laid off. It finally caught up to him but the company was in really bad shape by the time he was fired. “Mission Statement”, and all the bullshit that goes along with it. “Does this fit with our mission statement” etc etc. ---

Tweek or tweak. I tell vendors, “You need to sharpen your pencil on this RFQ(request for quote).” Fubar, snafu. I think they are originally from the military. ---
