lol I don’t think anybody on here ever saw your car before you made it a track car? it had quiet exhaust and mint full black interior and everything in teh car worked from the power windows to electronic climate contorll… how many of you beaters have that… but now its just a steering wheel and a shifter and the interior is in my 89 SHO 😃 , and all for $500 and 65 for a used rack so for a total of 565 he has beat the shit out of this car for 2 years oh and it runs mid 14s pretty sweet deal if you ask me. oh and it gets 28mpg and insurance is less than 100 a month… so yes beaters 4L… bitches

btw guys, no hate on STI’s there hot little cars, I just found the spoiled topic entertaining for a minute, I’ll never forget the “my mom buys the gas part”
the funny part though is a stock STI touching just about any car in my club, but not hating, turbo AWD rocks, I wish they didnt sound like old beat up vw’s, but thats how boxers sound
A pimp little car for sure, but I’m not sure if its ready to take on the world
only those who work and bash their knuckles to get what they have understand, so I guess I’m beating a dead horse…

This thread is getting good. If my parents bought my STi I would be greatful beyond belief. I bust my ass and can barely afford mine but that doesnt mean i deserve mine any more than anyone else. If this stuff happened to my car I would have freaked.

Nothing wrong with being “spoiled” if it doesn’t spoil you. If that makes any sense? I grew up as the (relatively) poor kid in a very affluent neighborhood. Affluent like going to school with the kids of people who were CEO’s of LARGE corporations, owned major sports teams, were US Senators, etc. So I saw first hand what getting too much too soon could do. Some kids, it spoiled. Others were fine. If you are lucky enough to be born into that much $$$, you know which you are.
Now that I am thinking back, one particularly funny conversation I overheard in the schoolyard was an argument over whose father had the biggest AIRPLANE. OMFG, talk about spoiled brats. Lots of kids got the new car of their choice on the 16th. And this was in the 60’s. Kids I was acquainted with got various cars incuding: tri-power GTO, Charger R/T Hemi, 427 'vette, Porsche 911, and so on. I would guesstimate that ~50-75% of the rich kids were dicks. Did getting a car make them that way? Not in and of itself but it was part of a pattern.
No matter who paid, it’s a shitty thing to have happened to a car and I would consider the dealer responsible. And for those of who had Mummy and Daddy buy your cars, I am happy for you if you aren’t a dick. If you are, blow me.

good point Rich, if you appreciate it and it doesn’t alter your ego then its not spoiled
just made me laugh when I pictured in my head some spoiled kid yelling at his parents because they only got him an impreza the second time around, then some mustang slamming, I have no idea, mommy and daddy may have bought that too, but not very nice to slam someone elses car that looks nice and they spent time and effort on, it may not be an sti or camaro, but hey someone cares about it, and takes pride in it, no sense in slamming someone for that.
I mean if your gonna measure penis’, make sure its yours and not mom and dads
sorry I guess I was a little hard about this, but people should really respect other peoples cars and the love/trouble/pride that goes into them, even if it is some car you dont care for…

How is that a slam? The kid wrote something thats pretty silly which I doubt he put much thought into. I drive a shitbox winter beater too but I sure as hell dont own it simply because Im worried a nice car will get broken into.
