What passes in CA sets an example for the fed’s. Its not too uncommon. I’m GUESSING this holds true moreso on this issue.
And yes, I cringe over every article I read in the Snooze about Pelosi. Ugh.

How can anyone justify now increasing minimum wage when the cost of living goes up every year?
You have to compinsate for that somehow. Also, most buisnesses already pay above minimum wage so this shouldn’t be that big of a deal.

on the way home, npr said it will be breaking up the increase over 2 years.
that follows even more closely to the rate wages increase at most companies.
If it was going to jump $2 in one day, that would really suck. NY being a cadilac state of welfair programs will probably raise all those requirements too…
(although i think they are raised every year anyway)
what it comes down to, is that $1 does not buy anything these days.
the govt should worry less about the wages of 13 million people and more about
the thread of intellegnet offshor manufacturing capabilities. it used to be, that
complex products could not be made in poor countries. now we have poor contries
capable of building technologically advanced stuff. maybe they are… since the middle class jobs will start going away.
